Karren Turner
Who is the woman behind the lens?

As a child who frequently moved from town to town, Karren Turner developed a love for travel

and new adventures. Her work and life experiences have taken her all over British Columbia.

From the dynamic landscapes of the Kootenays and Northern BC to the stunning Queen Charlotte Islands. From the eclectic and colorful state of New Mexico all the way to California. The breath-taking beauty of the natural world and all creatures within it, big and small, are Karren's primary photographic inspirations. Trained in digital mastery, her photography captures the breath-taking beauty of the landscapes, often focusing on the natural reflective effect of water and dynamic range of colors. Karren loves the challenge of documenting action shots during sporting events as well as animals at play. She is also passionate about capturing unexpected moments of people in all emotional states. Beyond photography, Karren's next love is music. She can often be caught grooving in her kitchen to a newly discovered album or strumming sing along folk tunes with her friends. Karren often finds that photography and music relate in profound ways, with many of her photos invoking lyrical connection. Karren currently resides in Grand Forks, a small town in southern British Columbia that is tucked in along side the Kettle River.
